COMPLEMENTARY AND INTEGRATED MEDICINE RESEARCH UNIT - University of Southampton

CIMRU is part of the Primary Medical Care group at the University - and in October 2009 was selected to join The School for Primary Care Research which is a partnership between the Universities of Birmingham, Bristol, Keele, Manchester, Nottingham, Oxford, Southampton and UCL and is part of the National Institute for Health Research. 

The Unit is a multi-disciplinary dept with doctors, nurses, pharmacists, health psychologists, physiotherapists, and CAM practitioners as well as PhD and post-doc students, bringing conventional medical approaches together with CAM research. 

CIMRU runs a special study unit on CAM for 3rd year medical students and supervise 4th year medical students doing special projects on CAM.
